Materials:

1 Nikon Coolpix 5.1 Mega pixel and 3x Zoom

3 Kodak Easyshare C300 3.2 Mega pixel and 2x digital zoom

1 hP Photosmart 385 portable printer

4 memory cards

 

6th Grade:

¯     Welcome Pictures—Individual student pictures to put immediately onto a bulletin board to make everyone fill they are apart of the class

¯     Plays—Individual student pictures with characters names attached and sequential pictures of the process the class went through until they got to the performance

¯     Re-acting/Newspaper—Pictures of students reacting a scene from a book, history, science, or other content that allows the students to create still-digital pictures that show the information learned. Newspaper captions can be added along with a newspaper article.

¯     Outdoor School Experience—Document the Outdoor School camp for the class and have students give presentations about what they learned and show use to show the upcoming 6th graders what Outdoor School is all about

¯     Field Trips—Split the cameras up among groups and different groups capture what they say. Presentations can be made the following days.

 

8th Grade:

¯     Document Camera Replacement: Take a picture of a document (student made or resource) and show to class through a projector  (Hint: CameraÕs with D/V Out accessibility is the best)

¯     Scavenger Hunts: Groups of students take a camera and hunt for examples of the content (Math Ideas) and then use as a presentation

¤        Angles

¤        Geometry

¤        Potential Word Problem Situations

 

2nd Grade:

¯     Scavenger Hunts: Groups of student hunt for items around the classroom or outside

¯     Examples: Pictures of examples of vocabulary words or main ideas that will help students to remember what words mean

¯     Get To Know You Corner: Individual pictures of students along with a biography to help students get to know their classmates better
